Kiwi is a fruit, a rare bird and the nickname for a New Zealander. The Kiwi Lodge logo features a kiwi bird. Cord, the owner, worked as a veterinarian in New Zealand for 21 years and returned to this farm in 2022. You will find pictures and artefacts from kiwi country in every room.

The farm was built in 1785 and has remained in the family ever since.

Five guest rooms, each with a private bathroom, were built for KiwiLodge in 2022 at the rear of the building, away from the road. An outdoor seating area on the balcony overlooks the garden and surrounding pastures. The Heidejäger restaurant directly opposite the farm offers delicious food at moderate prices. The area is ideal for walking, hiking, cycling, horse riding and exploring the herb trail.
